Meet Sharon Davis
Hi, I’m Sharon Davis. Real estate is in my blood. I was born in Chicago, IL, to a family who owned investment property. I am one of eight children, and we often spent our Saturday mornings helping with the lawn maintenance necessary to maintain the properties. My dad was very traditional, teaching us the old-school values of honesty, hard work and living by the golden rule. My mom’s loving and kind nature permeated all of us. She was very nurturing, and created an environment that etched many good memories in our family home.
My husband’s job moved us from Chicago to Champaign, IL, and then in 2016, to Charlotte. I joined Pridemore Properties in 2017 because I was drawn to their family environment and how the firm focuses on service to their clients.
I suppose there’s a side of me that is somewhat intrepid. For example, it didn’t seem out of the ordinary to me when I bought my first multi-family income property at the age of 22. At that time, I was working as a licensed funeral director and embalmer; that might give some people the willies, but not me. I am also fearless about bugs, snakes and spiders (catch and release, please.) I think it comes down to my willingness to challenge and pursue opportunities that others may shy away from.
In real estate, that means being creative and digging for properties that may otherwise be overlooked as well as searching for properties off the market. Because I am a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR ®), I tap into the distressed property market and help buyers and sellers navigate those more complicated transactions. My clients appreciate that I’m very detail-oriented, and good at fleshing out factors that influence decisions. I want my clients to consider all the options available to them.
Over the years, I have especially enjoyed helping first-time home buyers, and sharing in the excitement of buying that first home. It’s so rewarding to me to know that I’ve helped someone invest in their future through real estate. There’s something special about the memories that are made when bringing a family together in a new home.
