The Community of Dilworth

Dilworth can be found just South of Uptown. It is made up of beautiful tree lined streets with large mature oak trees and it also includes the industrial area which is home to many shops, restaurants and retro condo living.

Dilworth was founded back in the 1890's by Edward Dilworth Latta and it was Charlotte's first streetcar suburb. Since then it has grown to be a very prosperous and popular area. It is a great family oriented neighborhood where you can walk to many restaurants such as Big Daddy's Burgers, 131 Main, Brixx Pizza, Cantina 151 and much more. Also walk to many uniques shops such as Maddi's Art Gallery, Paper Skyscrapper, Hand Picked, Cottage Chic, and Berrybrook Farm.

Most of the homes are renovated bungalows with porches but you will find some beautiful Queen Victorian style homes along with Colonials. Dilworth is also the home of Carolina's Medical Center, Charlotte's largest hospital and state of the art facility.
